Terms of Service
Version 2026-09-02 · Effective 2 September 2026
1. Service and scope
VinTrust provides AI-assisted vehicle identity screening, evidence management and workflow tools. Unless a report expressly states otherwise, a result is not an eNaTIS clearance, title guarantee, ownership determination, police clearance, roadworthiness certificate or substitute for a qualified physical inspection.
2. Assurance levels
A dashboard-only scan can identify apparent consistency or anomalies in the submitted marker, but cannot independently prove the identity of the whole vehicle. Higher assurance requires independent structural or secondary markers and, where stated, an available authoritative external source.
“Unavailable” external verification is not a pass. Inconclusive evidence must not be represented as verified.
3. Your responsibilities
You must have lawful authority to submit vehicle data and images, provide accurate information, protect account credentials and obtain any required consent for people, locations or third-party property visible in uploaded media. You may not use VinTrust to facilitate fraud, unlawful surveillance or discriminatory decision-making.
4. Enterprise decisions
High-impact credit, insurance, employment, enforcement or legal decisions require competent human review and any checks required by applicable law and your internal policy. Enterprise customers are responsible for configuring roles, approvals and retention appropriately.
5. Credits and payments
Prices, currency and included credits are shown before checkout. Credits are allocated only after server-side confirmation by the payment provider. Refunds, if approved, are returned through the original gateway and associated unused credits may be reversed. Demo and test transactions are clearly labelled and have no monetary value.
6. Evidence and reports
Cryptographically signed verification records establish whether the stored verification payload has changed since issue. They do not certify the truth of source images or third-party data. Revoked reports must not be relied upon. You must preserve original evidence and audit records according to your legal obligations.
7. Availability and third parties
AI, vehicle-data and payment services may be unavailable or return incomplete data. VinTrust records these states but does not guarantee uninterrupted service or coverage for every make, market or model.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, VinTrust is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on screening output without appropriate human and authoritative checks. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended for security risk, non-payment, abuse or unlawful use. Data export and deletion requests are handled through Settings, subject to legal retention, fraud-prevention and evidential-preservation duties.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Contract, support and Information Officer contact details shown in your organisation agreement or VinTrust support channel apply. Enterprise agreements prevail where they expressly conflict with these terms.
This operational draft must be reviewed by VinTrust’s appointed South African legal counsel and Information Officer before an unrestricted commercial launch.
